Welcome! I'm Ashley Eikenberry, a LPCC in Grand Junction, Colorado, specializing in relational wounds or complex trauma. This can encompass a lot; please reach out to see if we may be a good fit or if you're curious about what that means. I graduated with a master's in science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. My background is in Early Childhood Education, and a worldview grounded in psychodynamic, attachment theory, and family systems; I integrate various therapeutic approaches into my practice. I have specialized training in applied polyvagal theory for trauma recovery, EMDR, as well as somatic experiencing, sensorimotor psychotherapy, IFS, and emotionally focused therapy for individuals and couples. Currently, I am pursuing advanced training as a Complex Trauma Specialist (CCTP II). In addition, am a certified yoga teacher, and I understand how our symptoms and stress manifest in the body and mind and how to heal and witness when things like traditional talk therapy haven't worked in the past. My lived experience has allowed me opportunities to work with children, teens, and adults, including families and couples, in different capacities. My personal journey allows me to understand the emotional and psychological reality that clients go through while navigating the process more intuitively, recognizing when to provide support, challenge, or allow for space.

I would describe myself as a spiritual, poetic type, a wild woman embracing midlife who is deeply connected to nature and the outdoors. In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my dogs and family, biking, gardening, practicing yoga and meditation, and exploring interests like depth psychology, Vedic astrology, and art journaling. I love singing, swimming in natural waters, and bird watching. I am particularly immersed in Jungian depth psychology, exploring the unconscious through mythology, expressive arts, astrology, and dream analysis. In 2023, I self-published my first poetry book, Starving in a Chrysalis, which explores themes of nature, spirituality, and transformation.

"Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes."

-Carl Jung
